hoa is an outliner for macOS made by nhannht (Nguyen Huu Thien Nhan).
What hoa stores
Your outline is stored on your Mac, in a folder that belongs to the app. Pictures you attach are stored in the same folder. Settings are stored in the app's own preferences on your Mac.
iCloud
If you turn on "Keep this outline in iCloud" in Settings, your outline is also stored in the private part of your own iCloud account, so your other Macs signed in to the same account can see it. It is stored using Apple's CloudKit service and is covered by Apple's iCloud terms. We cannot read it. It is off until you turn it on.
Agents
If you turn on "Let agents work on this outline" in Settings, hoa lets programs running on the same Mac read and change the open outline through a local connection that never leaves your Mac. Nothing is sent over the internet by this feature. It is off until you turn it on, and every change a program makes is one step in Undo.
What we collect
Nothing. hoa has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of ours. We do not know who uses hoa or what they write in it.
Purchases
hoa is bought once from the Mac App Store. Apple handles the purchase and we receive no personal information from it beyond what Apple's sales reports contain, which does not identify you.
Children
hoa is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the new text appears at this address.
